Job Summary As a Telemetry (Tele) Registered Nurse at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, you will provide specialized care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and stroke/neuro recovery. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside a multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and treat acute patients, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compassion.  Key Responsibilities * Patient Monitoring: Assess, interpret, and document electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythms and vital signs using advanced telemetry equipment. Respond quickly to any critical changes, arrhythmias, or alarms.  * Direct Bedside Care: Execute head-to-toe assessments, administer medications, manage IV lines, and perform routine rounding checks for patients.  * Care Planning: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.  * Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, medications, and post-discharge management of cardiac/neuro conditions.  * Documentation: Ensure accurate, timely charting using the hospital’s electronic health records (EHR) system (EPIC).  * Communication: Serve as an advocate and liaison between the patient, the patient's family, and the clinical care team.  Qualifications & Requirements * Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program. BSN preferred. * Licensure/Certification: Current, active RN license in the state of Virginia. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.  * Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or a critical care setting.  * Skills: Strong IV start skills, proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, and the ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
