Key Responsibilities * Cardiac Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze heart rhythms using EKG machines, interpreting, and recording data to identify abnormalities. * Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct head-to-toe assessments, administer medications (IV/PO), and manage central lines, wounds, and chest tubes. * Emergency Response: Promptly identify and act on life-threatening arrhythmias or changes in cardiac status. * Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely patient records in the electronic health record system. * Collaboration & Education: Work with physicians, nurses, and technicians to develop care plans and educate patients/families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.    Requirements * Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program. * License: Active RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state. * Experience: Previous experience in telemetry, step-down, or medical-surgical nursing preferred. * Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required. Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret EKG data, and perform comprehensive patient assessments. They are also responsible for administering medications, managing medical devices, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
