Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Cardiac Monitoring: Continuously track, analyze, and interpret EKGs and telemetry data for patients, identifying irregularities and providing accurate documentation. * Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to cardiac patients, including medication administration (IV and PO), management of central lines, and wound care. * Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to emergency situations, such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrests, providing immediate intervention. * Collaboration: Coordinate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans. * Patient Education: Instruct patients and families on cardiac conditions, medication regimens, and necessary lifestyle changes prior to discharge. * Unit Leadership: Oversee telemetry technicians and collaborate with unit staff to ensure quality care.    Qualifications: * Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Virginia or compact state. * Experience: Previous experience in a hospital telemetry, step-down, or cardiac care setting preferred. * Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. * Skills: Proficiency in EKG/telemetry interpretation, critical thinking, and rapid assessment skills.
