Description Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager - Traumatic Brain Injury ( TBI ) Unit Position Overview: The RN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Unit. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to residents with traumatic brain injuries and complex neurological conditions. The Unit Manager supervises nursing staff, coordinates interdisciplinary care, maintains regulatory compliance, and promotes positive clinical outcomes while supporting residents' rehabilitation and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day nursing operations of the TBI Unit. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents with traumatic brain injuries and related neurological conditions. Monitor resident condition and ensure timely intervention for changes in status. Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, psychologists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members. Participate in resident care conferences and develop individualized care plans. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Experience caring for individuals with traumatic brain injury, neurological disorders, or behavioral health needs preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Knowledge of TBI rehabilitation principles and neurological conditions. Understanding of federal and state long-term care regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
