Overview RN Block Nurse: The ideal candidate for this position will be compassionate, caring and experienced in developing/implementing the plan of care for each patient, making recommendations for patient interventions, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to deliver care and document outcomes. Job Highlights Duties will include: Patient education: pre and post-op education for patient and family regarding the peripheral nerve block Nerve block assistance: under direct supervision, administer sedation if needed, and assist with placement of nerve block/catheter by pushing local anesthetic and holding ultrasound probe in place. Pain management: via patient rounds and/or follow-up calls, assess effectiveness of nerve block to determine patient’s comfort and coordinate with an anesthesiologist any changes to medication regimen/catheter settings that may be needed. Responsibilities
