Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities: Provides skilled, compassionate care and coordinates patient care. Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Serves as a clinical resource, preceptor, and mentor, and supervises patient care activities. Utilizes care delivery standards, integrating communication, technology, and collaboration. Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains Continuing Education Records. Contributes to performance improvement initiatives and evaluates clinical outcomes. Minimum Qualifications: Work schedule: Part-time Night Shift: 2x12 hour shifts per week, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Staff will be expected work one major one minor holiday as well as one weekend shift every other weekend. Experience: Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | For Critical Care Units: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Within 6 Months | For Pediatric Units: Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Within 6 Months | For Infusion Center Units: Obtain chemo card- within 3 months of hire Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license Preferred Qualifications: Recent (within the past year) Registered Nurse (RN) experience on an inpatient med/surge unit Bachelor of Science in Nursing We are Inova, Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
