POSITION SUMMARY

The Emergency Department is currently seeking a Permanent Full Time Registered Nurse to join their team.
Effective Date: September 22, 2025

DEPARTMENT/UNIT/PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

RMH is a medium sized hospital that provides 24 hour care to Emergency Room patients. The Emergency department embraces the Hospital’s vision by providing staff with an excellent, supportive, team environment where the clinical team can practice in a multi-disciplinary team, providing Exceptional Care – Together.
* Ross Memorial Hospital qualifies for the Government of Canada’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program. Nurses may be eligible to receive up to $30,000 in Canada Student Loan forgiveness
Ross Memorial Hospital is participating in the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN). If you are a new grad and/or have not been employed as a nurse in Ontario in the last 6 months, you may be eligible to receive up to $25,000 in grant funding *

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certification, on hire
  • Current I.V. certification
  • Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education
  • Coronary Care course or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years recent Emergency Room experience
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
  • Demonstrated problem solving, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • TNCC and PALS certification
  • Health teaching skills that demonstrates a broad knowledge of Adult and Paediatric Emergency Care
  • BScN preferred
  • Epic trained or ability to train and pass testing
