Job Description:
RVH currently has exciting opportunities for individuals who want to take the next step in their career as a Registered Nurse, in our Intensive Care Unit. RVH has been provided with funding for 3 additional Level 3 ICU beds and is looking to grow the RVH ICU Team! This is an amazing opportunity to practice nursing in a supportive environment, share best practices and work with an amazing interprofessional team.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and all relevant legislation.

EDUCATION:

• Required Critical Care Certificate
• Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current ACLS/BLS essential
• Coronary Care Level 1 or equivalent essential
• CNCC(C) preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession
• Current progressive nursing experience in Adult ICU/CCU preferred
• Membership in an associated professional interest group, current with industry trends
• Functions independently to full scope of practice
