Description Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides assessment, treatment, emergency care, and case management of student health conditions as part of the overall Health and Wellness Program in accordance with the Job Corps Federal Regulations, the (PRH) Policy and Requirements Handbook, and federal and state laws related to professional scope of practice with a general emphasis on helping students overcome barriers to employability. The RN may serve as the acting Health and Wellness Manager (short or long term) in the absence of the Health and Wellness Manager. Duties/Responsibilities: Uphold company values, policies, HIPAA compliance, and maintain professional relationships with staff and students. Provide customer service, health education, and wellness training for students and staff. Supervise LVN/LPN staff and assist with applicant file reviews and disability accommodations. Conduct health evaluations, wellness assessments, triage, chronic care management, and individualized health plans. Administer medications, immunizations, phlebotomy, CLIA-waived testing, and routine nursing care within scope of practice. Monitor student medications, review treatment effectiveness, and report adverse reactions. Coordinate medical appointments, referrals, and follow-up care for students. Maintain accurate medical records, documentation, reporting, and compliance with program requirements. Manage medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, inventory, and infection control procedures. Support Wellness, SART, and HEALS committees and participate in staff training and leadership activities. Collaborate with counselors, residential staff, and instructors to support student health and wellness. Provide on-call support and perform additional duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: Minimum: Active, unrestricted license to practice in state where Center is located. Preferred: One year nursing experience, plus Job Corps experience desirable. Knowledge: Sound nursing techniques. Ability to relate effectively to student population. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to carry out instructions without constant supervision. Must maintain CPR certification.
