Campbelltown Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse- Scrub Scout to join our Perioperative Team on a permanent part-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided. Our modern facilities include 8 Operating Theatres, 48 Surgical beds, 15 bed Day Surgery Unit and 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit. As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include: · Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation · Deliver evidence based nursing care · Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team · Ensure patient and staff safety · Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only) · Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient · Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology Essential Criteria: · Current Registration with AHPRA · 18 months’ minimum experience as an RN – Scrub Scout · Working with Children check (if relevant) · Commitment to Quality Patient Care · Compliance with ACQSHC National standards · Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills · Excellent communication and customer service skills · Works well independently and within a team · Basic computer skills Why Healthscope?
