St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Day Surgery Centre is an extension of St Andrews War Memorial Hospital. The brand-new surgery centre offers a dedicated day surgery experience and a wide range of procedures for patients who do not require an overnight stay in hospital. The purpose-built surgical centre is located opposite the main hospital within St Andrew’s Place on North St, Spring Hill, and features two procedure rooms, an operating theatre, as well as admission and recovery spaces. The centre has been designed to meet the growing demand for surgical treatment at St Andrew’s, and changing patient and clinician preferences for same-day procedures. By bringing together the finest medical experts, care and technology, we’re able to deliver personalised care and world-class results. Let’s make a meaningful difference, together. Your part in our St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital Day Surgery Centre team Our team continues to grow, and as part of our brand new Day Surgery Centre, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You'll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills. What makes a difference for us? Minimum 12 months' experience as a scrub scout Minimum 12 months' experience in a Day Surgery environment desirable Bachelor of Nursing degree, or equivalent and AHPRA registration Australian Working Rights (We are unable to sponsor at this time) Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements Desire for ongoing professional development Availability to work across a fortnightly rotating roster between 6am – 8pm, Mon – Fri Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements What makes a difference for you?
