OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and demonstrate proficiency in medication administration and anatomy knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Previous experience of working with the elderly preferred
  • Previous experience of overseeing junior staff and their shifts
  • Previous experience of administration, care plans and evaluations
  • Previous experience of liaising with regulatory authorities and other health professionals

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Registered Nurse qualification essential
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Basic knowledge of Domiciliary Care
  • Knowledge and respect for Confidentiality
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Working knowledge of Personal Rights and Responsibilities

SKILLS:

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use laptop/tablet for online training and care notes
  • Ability to follow company procedures and guidelines without constant supervision
  • Ability to share knowledge with senior carers and carers and assist with their training
Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care in accordance with established nursing standards
    · To be answerable to the Deputy/Manager/Owner
    · To be responsible for running the shift
    · To be responsible for overseeing the other staff on shift
    · To be responsible for the care of the residents
    · To provide physical, emotional and social support for residents and be sensitive to their changing needs eg medical, therapeutic, psychological and spiritual
    · To accurately document reports and care plans
    · To be available to residents’ family and representatives
    · To assist other health professionals who come into the Nursing Home
    · To hand over accurate information to the next shift
    · To work within the guidelines set down by the General Medical Council
    · To show potential clients around the home
    · To observe and practise the principles of health and safety within the working environment
    · To safely dispense medications
    · To work with the policies and procedures of the Home
    · To ensure daily notes are recorded on the PCS System
    · To promote the values of the home and assist with any process and system changes
    · To answer telephone calls
    · To maintain confidentiality
