Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an SKG RN you will be responsible for providing high quality pre, intra and post procedure nursing care and education to patients attending our radiology department. In this role you will be involved in a range of duties such as assisting the Radiologist in interventional procedures including PICC line insertions, deep organ biopsies, infusaport and nephrostomy tube insertion thereby utilising all of your ward nursing skills that apply in the radiology setting.
This position is based at SKG Subiaco within the St John of God Hospital in Subiaco, WA.
Whilst a background in medical imaging nursing will be highly regarded, we will provide training in the provision of care in a radiology department to the successful candidate.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree/Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Recent solid clinical nursing experience

    Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide evidence of vaccination/immunity/screening to a list of vaccine-preventable diseases prior to commencement of employment.
    This is a Full Time position of 75 hours per fortnight, working day time shifts on week days. This position is offered on a temporary basis to cover a period of parental leave. We envisage the candidate commencing in the role immediately for a period of up to 12 months.
    Flexibility with start and finish times is key to accommodate staffing levels and leave coverage. Participation in the weekend roster and on-call shifts is a requirement of this position.
