JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, and specialized medical facilities.

SKILLS

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
  • Strong background in critical care, including ICU experience and acute pain management.
  • Familiarity with specialties such as ophthalmology, geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health.
  • Competence in performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, tube feeding, and airway management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care while adhering to established standards of practice. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform various clinical procedures, including IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care.
  • Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-discharge.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.
