Northern NSW Local Health District has an exciting career opportunity for a Registered Nurse to undertake a Specialty Development role with an interest in developing the specific skills required for community nursing and obtaining experience working the community/primary health care setting. The Transition to Practice Community Health Nursing Program (TCHNP) is a 12 month program designed to facilitate the transition of Registered Nurses (RNs) with limited previous Community Health Nursing experience to the Community Health workforce.
Northern NSW Community Nursing Service is an integral part of the total health care delivery system, providing nursing care to people in the community setting. Community nursing staff work closely with each client, their carer, General Practitioner and other relevant service providers to develop a plan that meets the client’s care needs.
