Your role at St John of God Ballarat We are seeking applications from Registered Nurses with excellent clinical, communication and critical thinking skills to join our Emergency Department team. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient-centred care across a broad range of adult and paediatric emergency presentations, working closely with doctors and specialists to achieve positive patient outcomes. The Position Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality patient-centred care across a range of clinical presentations. Monitor patient progress, review diagnostic results and promptly escalate changes in condition. Coordinate care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Supervise, mentor and support Graduate Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and nursing students. Provide patient and family education, discharge planning and ongoing support throughout the care journey. Maintain professional, legal and ethical nursing standards while actively contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Successful applicants will hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues. You will be a team player with strong organisational and time-management skills, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and a sound understanding of nursing legislation and infection prevention practices. Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic clinical environment are essential.
