About the role 8 South is a 24-bed surgical ward delivering care across a diverse range of specialties including colorectal, upper gastrointestinal, ENT, surgical oncology, dental and trauma. The Short Stay Surgical Unit supports patients undergoing elective procedures, where you will play a key role in coordinating and leading the discharge process, ensuring patients are informed, prepared and supported to return home safely. Provide comprehensive post-operative care for patients following elective and emergency surgery, including those transferred from the Intensive Care Unit after complex surgical procedures or trauma. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary medical teams and Hospital in the Home services to support coordinated recovery and non-urgent follow-up care within the community. About you Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
