What we offer: Competitive Pay Company Discounts & Incentives Company-provided Paid Training & Professional Development State of the Art Facilities & Technology What you will do: In conjunction with site and regional leadership, the Registered Nurse oversees the medical aspect of the Summer Camp by doing the following: Monitors all aspects of health and safety Provides daily nursing services, including medications, as prescribed by a licensed physician Is available for all health-related needs of the camp, including sicknesses, accidents, incidents, etc. Performs an initial health assessment on all enrolling EIDT children Performs a medical review on each EIDT child at least once a year Maintains documentation of current immunization records and/or waiver forms on each child Requests medical records from doctors and facilities as needed Schedules audiological testing as needed and maintains current audiological paperwork on each EIDT child Ensures that billing for nursing services is completed in an accurate and timely manner Maintains medical supplies as needed Is available to parents for health-related questions and/or concerns. Involves director with any concerns that cannot be immediately/easily resolved Attends Multidisciplinary conferences as needed Attends administrative meetings and provides input into center policies and procedures Assists with new hire orientation relating to health and safety issues Provides relevant health and safety training to staff as needed Monitors for potential abuse or neglect situations and follows the required DHS reporting guidelines for any suspected issues Conducts reviews of the camp to ensure that health related Arkansas Child Care Licensing and EIDT requirements are being followed Assists with referrals for additional health-related services and/or specialties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. What you have: Knowledge of basic nursing services including tube feeds, catheterizations, diabetic management, seizure management, etc. Knowledge of common pediatric developmental conditions and pediatric emergency management A willingness to work with developmentally at-risk children Ability to collaborate and work on a team Ability to engage in a manner that is fun, child-centered, mindful, and authentic Patience, positivity, & resilience Ability to adapt approach based on a child's developmental needs Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholder types (classroom staff, therapists, preschool administration, parents, etc.) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of organization. Education/Certifications: Current, unrestricted registered nursing license as approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing 1+ year of Pediatric nursing experience (preferred) Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle, lift, feel, and reach. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to maintain regular and punctual attendance. The employee is required to complete tasks in a timely manner.
