SUVH and Avalon also review wages regularly to remain competitive in the market.   POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Nurse - Supervisor at the Southern Utah Veterans Home provides leadership and oversight to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to our veteran residents. This role involves coordinating nursing activities, supervising clinical staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations and staff activities. * Provide direct patient care as needed, ensuring adherence to established nursing protocols. * Monitor and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing guidance, training, and support. * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. * Assist in the recruitment, orientation, and ongoing education of nursing personnel. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing activities. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control programs. * Respond to emergencies and provide clinical leadership during critical situations. QUALIFICATIONS * Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Utah. * Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatric settings. * Previous supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of nursing practices, standards, and regulatory requirements. * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. * CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is based at the Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, St. George, UT.
