About the role Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Orthopaedic + Spine and Neurosurgical ward on a part time basis. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established surgical nursing team. Gold Coast Private Hospital is committed to continual growth, providing exciting opportunities and professional career pathways in healthcare As a Registered Nurse - Surgical your responsibilities will include: Your duties will include Provide evidenced based nursing care to patients undergoing our Orthopaedic and other surgical procedures Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team Ensure patient and staff safety Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs Essential Criteria: Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting Experience in a post-surgical ward ideal but not mandatory Current Registration with AHPRA Commitment to Quality Patient Care Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Works well independently and within a team Why Healthscope?
