THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Registered Nurses to support our General Surgery Ward at Wollongong Private Hospital. Specialties include General, Colorectal, Urology, Gynae, Upper GI, Bariatrics and Neurosurgery. Lots of wonderful specialities that provide diverse care and learning opportunities. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum two (2) years acute nursing experience in a surgical speciality
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a supportive service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a strong customer service focus
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient.
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service and time management abilities.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
