Responsibilities
  • As a Registered Nurse, you will share workload and collaborate with other Registered Nurses, MDs, & Admin staff to carry out a variety of tasks related to communication with patients, the community, and administrative activities that occur before, during, and after patient visits.
  • Review the previous clinical letters, cardiac test results, and Netcare to gather pertinent information; including the past health conditions, current medications, medication allergies, current patient symptoms/concerns, and pertinent cardiac investigations.
  • Review and follow up on test results with patients
  • Review and triage referrals
  • Provide an independent, thorough assessment of the patient.
  • Provide patient education regarding cardiac diagnosis, cardiac risk factors, medications, and current treatment plan
  • Document a standardized RN consultation note for the patient and communicate with the administrative team regarding the timing of the next follow-up appointment.
  • successful candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communicating with patients, families, and team members
  • Participate in co-designing new education and clinical services with other members of an Integrated care team
