REGISTERED NURSE

Location: The Prince of Wales Hospice, WF8 4BG
Salary: £29,778 - £37,988 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 36 hours per week (rota shifts including evenings/weekends)
At The Prince of Wales Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14-bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including a successful Lymphoedema clinic.

  • NMC registration.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in contributing to audits, team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentorship skills to support students and new colleagues.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Registered Nurse at our Hospice, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients nearing the end of life. Working closely with patients, families and carers, you’ll promote dignity, comfort and choice, while supporting the emotional and physical well-being of those we care for.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence, continuous learning, and compassionate care. You’ll also contribute to mentoring and developing junior staff and students, ensuring a positive and professional environment for all.
