Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will be providing provision of nursing care for individuals experiencing difficulties in relation to their recovery from substance dependence.

WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE:

  • working within the framework of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Model of Treatment
  • implementation of The Salvation Army Bridge Programme Policies and Procedures
  • working within Canterbury AOD sector to provide specialist AOD nursing and withdrawal management support as per agreed processes and procedures
  • cultural safety
  • health and care needs of clients, including specialist support in relation to medical, mental health, and withdrawal management needs
  • medication management
  • infection control, with oversight of our Covid-19 protocols
  • health and safety
  • health education programme
  • professional development
  • providing a quality service
  • participation in an on-call roster.
