THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking experienced Acute Registered Nurses looking for their next clinical challenge learning and transitioning their current skillsets into Intensive Care. This is an amazing opportunity for those want to progress their careers or learn new clinical skills.
Our ICU provides care for a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions. The 12-bed unit offers specialised care for patients who require constant monitoring, intensive nursing care and advanced respiratory, cardiac, and renal support therapies.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an acute care role
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required
• Advanced communication and customer service skills
• Prior experience in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (desirable)
• ILS/ALS/ CALS certification (desirable)
• Post graduate certificate or similar in acute care (desirable)

REQUIREMENTS

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
