The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality person-centred nursing care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
The Transition to Practice Mental Health Nursing Program (TMHNP) is a 12-month program designed to facilitate the transition of Registered Nurses (RNs) with limited previous Mental Health Nursing experience to the Mental Health workforce.
The Registered Nurse will actively participate in the TMHNP and complete requirements for the academic component of this program.
Participants in the TMHNP will be given work rotations in three clinical areas within the Richmond Network Mental Health Service Lismore and will have regular fortnightly rostered education sessions.
