ABOUT THE ROLE
The Transition to Speciality Perioperative Nurse will be a valued member of the Albury and Wodonga Perioperative teams rotating across both campuses.
Applications are sought from Registered Nurses who are finishing their graduate year or in their junior years of practice who are seeking career exposure and experience in perioperative nursing. The successful applicant will be supported in areas of perioperative nursing as per the Perioperative Capability Framework – Anaesthetics, Recovery, Instrument & Circulating nursing. They will have access to the perioperative educator, ACORN standards and have an opportunity to have cross campus placements. Our TSP program is designed to provide the registered nurse with the skills, knowledge and attributes that are required to transition into perioperative nursing and potential preparation for Post Graduate Specialty study in the future.
We encourage applicants who meet the following criteria to apply:
Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency).
Demonstrates a person and family centred approach to decision making and care planning activities.
Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment.
Employment Type: These positions are a fixed term, part time position (0.8FTE). This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with little exposure to the operating theatre to experience perioperative nursing.
