US:NV:Carson City Operating Room
Part Time Day Shift

SUMMARY

In keeping with Carson Tahoe Health’s philosophy, the Department RN Educator works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document and coordinate clinical educational opportunities for appropriate nursing staff to promote advanced skill levels. The Educator observes staff within the unit for competency demonstration, provides assessment of that competency, identifies educational needs for staff, and provides hands-on training within the Department. The Educator also provides clinical leadership and mentoring within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers Certification
• Documented evidence of teaching and education experience
• Computer proficiency including MS Office Suite
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)

Preferred:

• Experience with Learning Management System
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor
