Additional Information about our PCU: 34-bed Progressive Care Unit Types of high acuity patients include: Telemetry, Stroke, Vent, Trach, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), and Chediak-Higashi syndrome (CHS) Self-scheduling System Growth opportunities involve being a part of Shared Governance councils A supportive environment focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialty certification Leaders with a passion for supporting nurses in reaching their professional goals Shift: 12 hour shifts Rotating weekends Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program BSN within five years of employment (required) Tuition Reimbursement Program ($5,250/calendar year) Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia BLS Experience: One year of recent PCU and/or Medical-Surgical experience (required)
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will work within a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit, managing high acuity patients including those requiring Telemetry, Stroke care, Ventilator support, Tracheostomy care, and PCI procedures. Nurses will utilize a self-scheduling system and have growth opportunities through participation in Shared Governance councils.
