At Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ), our Residential Aged Care team is dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and values-driven environment. We are seeking casual Registered Nurses to work across morning, afternoon, and night shifts at our residential facilities located in Chermside, Geebung, and Bray Park. As a Casual Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate excellent clinical capability, strong leadership skills, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional care. You will be supported with ongoing professional development and opportunities for growth within our services. You Will: Conduct comprehensive assessments, care planning, and direct nursing care using a biopsychosocial model to optimise residents’ independence Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to Carers, Assistants in Nursing, and Enrolled Nurses, acting as a role model for professional practice Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety, infection control, and safe work practices Provide accurate written and verbal reports on residents’ social, physical, and emotional wellbeing to Clinical Nurses and Assistant Managers Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to achieve quality outcomes for residents What We’re Looking For: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to best-practice care Demonstrated clinical nursing proficiency and understanding of contemporary nursing theory and care documentation models Generalist Registered Nursing experience, with aged care experience highly desirable Ability to quickly develop a sound understanding of aged care legislation and standards and apply them in daily practice Wesley Mission Queensland brings together people who want to make a difference in the lives of others.
