This Role Matters This job changes lives. At Wolverine Human Services, we serve children and youth who require medical oversight within a therapeutic residential setting. As a Registered Nurse, you play a critical role in ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. You won’t just provide clinical care. You will lead, supervise, educate, and support both clients and staff. This Role Includes Supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants Overseeing daily nursing activities, including training, coaching, and evaluating staff Supporting medical providers in delivering quality healthcare to clients Monitoring lab results and diagnostic reports Arranging laboratory testing and providing phlebotomy services as needed Educating clients and staff on health, growth, and treatment needs Ensuring compliance with licensing, contractual, and regulatory standards Monitoring equipment and supply quality control Reviewing client health complaints and responding appropriately Maintaining timecards and leave requests for assigned staff Conducting team meetings Using WHS technology platforms (Centricity, QuickMar, Microsoft Office) Participating in required trainings Serving as a mandated reporter under Michigan Child Protection Law Traveling to the WHS Vassar location at least one (1) day per week to support nursing operations and oversight What Success Looks Like Maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment Ensuring clients’ medical needs are met accurately and timely Supervising nursing staff effectively and professionally Remaining compliant with all applicable laws and regulations Communicating clearly with interdisciplinary teams Maintaining accurate documentation and oversight Schedule & Reporting Structure Status: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Primary assignment at residential program with required travel Travel Requirement: Must travel to the WHS Vassar location at least one day per week Reports To: Residential Director QualificationsWhat You Need to Apply – Minimum Qualifications You qualify if you have: Active State of Michigan Registered Nurse License Current BCLS Certification Proficiency in Centricity, QuickMar, and Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and leadership skills Why Work at Wolverine Human Services At WHS, your clinical skills directly support youth who need stability and care.
