Based at Wyong Central Community Health Centre, Youth Health work with young people aged 12 – 24 with multiple vulnerabilities and/or chronic illness or disability. We believe young people, especially those facing the greatest challenges, deserve respectful holistic healthcare. We’re passionate about the health and wellbeing of marginalised young people and committed to breaking cycles of disadvantage so they can live healthy, connected, and fulfilled lives. We walk alongside young people with genuine care, curiosity, and empathy. We meet people where they’re at (practically and emotionally), offering specialised health advice, reducing shame, and making healthcare more understandable and accessible.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Registered Nurse in our Youth Health team, you will play a vital role in delivering youth-friendly, trauma-informed, and strengths-based care to young people aged 12–24. You will help create a welcoming, culturally safe, and supportive environment, offering specialised health advice to address the health issues faced by young people experiencing multiple and complex needs. In this role, you will provide clinical care within your scope of practice, including immunisations, sexual and reproductive health, chronic illness support, and treatment planning. You will support the CMO clinic and collaborate with GPs, pathology providers, and specialist medical practitioners. If you’re not already an Authorised Nurse Immuniser (ANI), you will have the opportunity to complete recognised training and maintain that qualification.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work with internal and external partners to ensure young people receive seamless, wraparound support. This is a part-time role requiring availability on Wednesdays, with some flexibility across other weekdays. No weekends, after 5, or night shifts, making it ideal for those seeking genuine work-life balance. This is more than a nursing role. it is your opportunity to advocate, educate and support young people to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
