Description

Adecco is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s team in Whitby, ON. This Temporary role offers an hourly wage of $28-$30 CAD and focuses on the distribution, storage, and handling of publicly funded vaccines within public health and community healthcare settings.

  • Pay rate: $28-$30/hour.
  • Location: Whitby, ON
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Pharmacy Technician Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical inventory management, preferably with vaccines.
  • Knowledge of vaccine handling, cold chain management, and relevant health regulations.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related software (Panorama).
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and travel to off-site locations as needed.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage vaccine inventory, including counting, ordering, distribution, and returns.
  • Ensure compliance with cold chain protocols to maintain vaccine safety and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate vaccine deliveries to internal and external clients (schools, clinics, pharmacies, hospitals).
  • Maintain and monitor refrigeration and transport equipment.
  • Generate reports and conduct audits related to vaccine distribution and storage compliance.
  • Participate in workgroups to keep vaccine handling practices current.
  • Accurately enter vaccine data into the Panorama database.
  • Respond to client inquiries and ensure excellent service.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed outside regular hours.
