We are looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support our Mental Health & Addictions program at our Campbell River and Courtenay locations. You’ll work in a fast-paced, compassionate setting to assist patients with their treatment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.Duties:

  • Assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in day-to-day pharmacy activities.
  • Medication Management – Prepare, process, and dispense prescriptions for methadone, Suboxone, and Kadian.
  • Assisting patients who are dropping off or picking up prescriptions, including those with complex care needs.
  • Entering prescriptions accurately into patient records.
  • Providing excellent customer service and collaborating with the pharmacist for medication recommendations, selection, or counseling—especially for mental health and addictions therapies.
  • Exercising independent authority, responsibility, and liability to prepare, process, and compound prescriptions.
  • Assisting in training new employees.
  • Performing inventory ordering and control.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer use, data entry, and basic math.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience.
  • Strong motivation and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
