This is a Temporary Full-Time Opportunity (up until up until December 2026) Type: Replacement Summary of duties, but not limited to: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care in compliance with the scope of practice. Receives patients into unit; obtains and documents nursing assessment, vital signs, health and social histories as applicable Identifies and prioritizes for the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient. Provides care in a compassionate and caring manner within a diverse cultural environment. Records patient health care information in a precise. concise and organized manner. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure standards of care and practice are met. Provides teaching materials and evaluates and reinforces education to staff, patients and patient’s relatives. Provides a safe and secure environment for patients, their families and staff. Qualifications: Registered Practical Nurse Diploma required Currently registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required Current BLS/CPR Certificate required Demonstrated clinical competence with general medicine nursing skills Previous experience working in an outpatient clinic setting/ambulatory care environment preferred Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team, as well as independently Excellent physical assessment skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills Ability to work in fast paced environment Experience working with diverse population groups Demonstrated understanding and commitment to patient centered care Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven attendance and punctuality.
