POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Respite Worker you will work collaboratively with a skilled, diverse health care team, providing quality care, within your scope of practice, in a supportive, fun, friendly, home like environment. Workers must be aligned and reflective of the Agencies Mission, Vision and Core Values.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Excellent communication skills, enabling and establishing positive relationships with clients/children, families, peers, and management.
· Demonstrates self-direction, flexibility, and organizational skills.
· Able to delegate and share tasks and responsibilities within a multi-disciplinary team.
· Possess effective time management skills, the ability to set priorities, related to childcare, recreational activities, nutrition, and house maintenance.
· Ability to apply effective body mechanics and able to meet the physical demands, lifting, transferring, bending, carrying, standing.
