Reporting to Clinical Manager, as a member of the interdisciplinary team you will deliver safe, effective, patient-centered, ethical and evidence-based nursing care to patients according to scope of practice and in accordance with Bruyère Health policies, procedures and standards and with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards. You will communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients and their loved ones, colleagues and other health discipline members. **For information purpose only, please note that the position is currently aligned with complex care - 5 north, subject to change. How do I qualify? Required: * Successful completion of RPN medication administration course or equivalent * Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) * Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate * Successful completion of the mandatory ventilator training, provided by the hospital (on the unit), within the established timeline Preferred: * Experience in respiratory care * Membership in Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO) * Fluent in French and English What skills should I possess to succeed in the role? * Motivated towards professional growth and development * Superior communication, organizational, interpersonal skills * Leadership, decision-making and conflict resolution skills * Able to work within an interdisciplinary team * Able to work under pressure and to adapt to change * Intermediate computer skills About Bruyère Health Bruyère Health is Eastern Ontario’s leading health organization specializing in aging, rehabilitation, and care for those with multiple complex medical conditions.
