POSITION SUMMARY:
The Family Practice Nurse under the direction of a physician will perform duties as a part of the inter-professional team. It is expected that the nurse will seek opportunities to improve levels of service, recognizing the needs and expectations of the patient and the clinic.

PROFESSIONAL/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduate of recognized College or School of Nursing – Baccalaureate degree desirable
- Current certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario or eligible for registration in Ontario
- Recent clinical experience and demonstrated competence in Nursing practice with medical office experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Experience with Telus Solutions Software Required
- Competency in computer based programs (Microsoft Programs-Word and Excel)
- Autonomous
- Ability to work effectively with all members of the health care team
- Ability to work in an inter-professional team environment
Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible in a very active work environment
- High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
- Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information; knowledge of applicable data privacy laws
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items
- Able to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

Pay: $26.00-$27.00 per hour

- EMR systems -Telus PSS: 2 years (preferred)
- Family Physicians office: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- LPN/RPN (required)
