Description
Unit Summary Financial Services is responsible for Corporate Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury and Capital. The unit is responsible for the processing of all charges and credits to vendors for accounts payable and the invoicing of patient and non-patient receivables along with ensuring flow through of the detailed resulting transactions to the appropriate cost centre/balance sheet accounts, which in turn are used to make operational, financial and managerial decisions. In addition, the monitoring of cash flow and the administration of the call for capital are also part of the mandate of the unit. Position Summary The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for the analysis, investigation and problem-solving necessary to complete the processing of all payments for suppliers and services. The CSR ensures that all invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with approved hospital policies and procedures. Exceptional communication skills and a courteous telephone manner are required to facilitate invoice problem-solving and effective vendor relations. The successful candidate will be familiar with both the Meditech and Peoplesoft systems, as well as account reconciliation processes. Schedule Work Hours Monday to Friday; days 1. Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse 2. Holds current certificates in Medication Administration, Enteral Nutrition Via Gastrostomy Tube, Urinary Bladder Catheterization, Transcription of Physicians Orders, Advanced Wound Care and Airway Management, or has completed equivalent community college studies 3. Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years with clients who have had a stroke 4. Demonstrated knowledge and 2 recent years therapeutic experience within the last 5 years in the field of neurological rehabilitation with the stroke population 5. Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills 6. Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary care and the principles of professional practice 7. Demonstrates judgement in carrying out his or her role or function and is responsible and accountable for acting on the interpretation of data 8. Demonstrates critical thinking and decision making in assessment and problem identifications 9. Demonstrates ongoing personal professional education and development
