The successful Registered Practical Nurse and/or Registered Nurse will have:

  • Demonstrated excellence in assessment and direct client care;
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills;
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and strong interpersonal skills;
  • Graduated from a recognized accredited School of Nursing and have a current, general class (practicing) Registration, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a current CPR or BLS certification;
  • Have a valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle

The role will require:

  • Utilizing the nursing process effectively in order to provide high quality nursing care for clients and/or caregivers in all client situations and documenting and reporting client information according to company policy;
  • Promoting the independence of clients and caregivers considering their needs, strengths and weaknesses;
  • Providing consultation to other Nursing colleagues;
  • Maintaining current competence and obtaining advanced or specialized nursing skills to meet care needs of clients;
  • Physical lifting abilities;
  • Working in a clinic setting;
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • In an efficient, kind and safe manner, assist clients with the provision of activities of daily living as required, including bathing, feeding, washroom assistance etc.
  • Monitor and supervise clients and the environment to ensure safety, report concerns to the Director or designate
  • Assist with the safe arrival and departure of participants
  • Perform nursing care as need per individual client basis
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Assist clients with mobility as required
  • Respond calmly and professionally in emergency situations and assist as directed
  • Client health assessments
  • Assist with or lead activity programs as required
  • Complete and submit incident reports
  • Perform other position related duties as required.

EXPERIENCE WITH PAEDIATRICS AND COMPLEX CARE WOULD BE AN ASSET.

Job Types: Long Term Placement (must be available weekend days, afternoons and evenings)
