JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience in nursing home settings, hospitals, or acute care facilities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
  • Previous experience in home care or assisted living environments is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
  • Knowledge of senior care practices and experience working with children is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and reporting to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with daily living activities for patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Educate patients and their families about health management, medication administration, and care plans.
  • Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, pediatrics, hospice needs, or those requiring pain management.
  • Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive patient care.
