JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care. As an RPN, you will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and support patients in their daily activities. Your expertise in medical terminology and patient management will be essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience in nursing home settings, hospitals, or acute care facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
• Previous experience in home care or assisted living environments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
• Knowledge of senior care practices and experience working with children is advantageous.

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and reporting to the healthcare team.
• Assist with daily living activities for patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
• Educate patients and their families about health management, medication administration, and care plans.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required.
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, pediatrics, hospice needs, or those requiring pain management.
• Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive patient care.
