Description

The NeoHealth Heart Clinic in Sudbury is looking for a registered practical nurse (RPN).
We are an outpatient clinic providing a large spectrum of cardiac diagnostics, including ECG, Holter, stress testing and echocardiography (including stress and contrast studies). The clinic has three cardiologists with subspeciality expertise in imaging, heart failure, coronary disease, valve disease, interventional cardiology and cardio-oncology. The clinic is a NOSM University teaching clinic and engages regularly in academic activities including teaching and research. The emphasis will be on top quality care, provided by a friendly, motivated and engaged team.
The RPN will be expected to assist the physicians with the provision of medical care. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient’s condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document patient’s vital signs and medical history, verify medication lists and allergies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care measures
- Assist with case management and coordination of patient care
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- We welcome new graduates
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems such as Cerebrum is an asset
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Experience in nursing home, medical office, or home care settings is preferred
