JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Nurse is required to provide and assist with the implementation of resident care plans based upon pre-established standards and assist in planning of personal care to each resident under the direction and supervision of the Director of Wellness. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in a community setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  2. Possession of certificate of basic life support at basic rescuer level (minimum).
  3. Must be a competent person as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act Competency Criteria
    · Has knowledge of any potential or actual danger to health or safety in the workplace.
    · Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing is desirable.
    · Knowledge of the nursing process.
    · Post-graduate study in geriatrics desirable.
    · Post-graduate study in nursing administration desirable.
    · Possession of good leadership, communication, and diplomatic relations skills.
    · Possession of skill in planning, and coordination of a comprehensive nursing care program.
