You will join the Stayner Care Centre team in a brand new long-term care home on a journey into the Butterfly Model of Care wherein you will be an integral part in helping to create an atmosphere of collaboration, passion and person-centered care. The Butterfly Model of Care focuses on delivering emotion-focused care that connects with people in a dignified, human way. It addresses the holistic needs of the individuals and supports quality of life for each person living with dementia across the whole of their lived experience.

As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you are an integral part of the health care team, and in this role you will provide planned, resident-focused and goal directed care in accordance with the provincial standards of care under the direction of the Director of Care.
THE FOLLOWING TRAITS AND QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED:
Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51
Experience in a Long Term Care (Gerontology) setting is an asset
Perform care planning and coordination of care in a diverse multidisciplinary care team
A demonstrated use of current care technology
Shall exhibit strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Act as Charge Nurse when required
Communicate as needed with the home’s physician
Demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education, training, and professional development
Adhere to the guidelines and requirements of MLTC
Possess the skills to demonstrate and deliver effective, safe and resident centered care
Provide quality service that meets and exceeds the needs and expectations of the residents
Contribute to a home environment for residents that ensures the values of Jarlette Health Services are met
