JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Professional Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and other features. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques, as well as proficiency in various surveying tools and software. The Land Surveyor will work closely with civil engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate data collection and analysis for projects.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in land surveying techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for spatial analysis.
  • Experience with CAD software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drafting purposes.
  • Familiarity with Trimble equipment for data collection.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications accurately.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong foundation in mathematics.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as GPS, 3D scanners, and total stations.
  • Prepare detailed schematics and maps based on survey data.
  • Perform ALTA surveys and boundary surveys to establish property lines.
  • Collaborate with civil engineering teams to provide accurate data for construction projects.
  • Utilize software programs including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, Revit, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for drafting and design purposes.
  • Collect and analyze data related to land features, elevations, and contours.
  • Apply mathematical principles such as trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and drafting techniques in survey calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards in all surveying activities.
