Reports To: Clinical Lead / Home Care Manager
Work Location: Client’s Home (Mental health care focused)

JOB SUMMARY

Provides psychiatric nursing services to injured workers with mental health needs, supporting their recovery and functional independence through evidence-based nursing care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered as an RPN with the BCCNM.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychiatric/community mental health care.
  • Certification in CPR and crisis intervention preferred.
  • Criminal record clearance.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and recovery-focused models.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor clients’ mental health status.
  • Deliver interventions such as behavioral support, counseling, and medication management.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other mental health professionals.
  • Develop and implement individualized mental health care plans.
  • Address safety issues and create supportive home environments.
  • Educate clients and families on coping strategies and symptom management.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy laws and documentation standards.
  • Report all incidents, risks, or crises immediately per Designated authority guidelines.
  • Submit reports and updates through the designated Provider Portal.
