OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RP to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing therapeutic services, particularly to children , adolescents, and families. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their mental health needs, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing support. The Psychotherapist will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid licensure as a RP or equivalent in the in Ontario.
  • Ability to practice independently with the RP title (Qualifying RPs are not going to be considered for this position)
  • Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
  • Previous hospital or school experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with case management processes and special education systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and business writing, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide psychotherapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including case management documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians and special education professionals, to coordinate care.
  • Engage in research activities related to pediatric mental health and contribute to data collection efforts.
  • Educate clients and families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources available.
  • Stay informed about recent findings in the field of psychology and apply it to the treatment plans as needed.
