THE ROLE OVERVIEW

If you share a special place in your heart for this population, we would love to welcome you to our team!
You’re joining Workshop at the ground level, as we launch our practice and are currently looking for Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) who are excited about a gradual, values-based growth opportunity into private practice.
Our therapists hold specialized training in perinatal mental health and reproductive counselling, leadership coaching, and/or career/occupation development, and retain full clinical autonomy in treatment decisions, consistent with professional standards. Workshop RPs provide virtual therapy (via secure Jane video platform or phone) to women seeking support with a wide range of challenges in our focus areas. We serve clients province-wide (Ontario). You’ll enjoy the benefits of working independently in a remote work location while still being part of a supportive, collaborative team that values professionalism, compassion, and innovation.
We welcome and encourage applications from therapists of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, and are committed to fostering a strong level of cultural humility in our work.

RESPONSIBILITIES AS A RP INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

  • Provide one-on-one, virtual psychotherapy sessions in line with your regulatory college standards and in accordance with Workshop policies
  • Manage your own caseload, provided by Workshop, with a minimum availability of 8 clients per week
  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Workshop
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation (notes completed within 24 hours, and all client files are owned by Workshop) in line with CRPO standards and Workshop policies
  • Contractors are expected to maintain timely responsiveness to new client inquiries, ideally within 24 hours, to ensure quality client care
  • Charge and collect payments from patients for services: client fees are set in consultation with Workshop to maintain consistency across the practice
  • Ensure client confidentiality, ethical standards, and compliance with your regulatory body
  • Collect client payments and manage invoicing (with operational support from Workshop)
  • Collaborate with a growing team and contribute to our warm, professional clinic culture
  • Promote a circle of care for clients by collaborating with referring professionals (MDs, PTs, NDs, etc.)
