POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides optimum respiratory care for patients with respiratory disorders and performs therapy as ordered by the physician in accordance with current departmental policies. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages. Acts as relief shift supervisor when required. Maintains department productivity levels by monitoring workloads throughout the shift.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three (3) years of acute care experience required.
• Position will be required to supervise and have the ability to work in all critical areas including the NICU.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of a two year American Medical Association approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• The Therapist must have passed the written Registry Examination and the clinical simulation exam provided by the NBRC and received their RRT credential.
