POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. The Sleep Therapy Consultant will develop and implement treatment plans for patients with sleep apnea, providing patient education and ongoing assessment to ensure optimal care. The successful candidate will also support the promotion, sales, and rental of medical equipment and services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist designation (preferred)
  • Active member of the CRTO (preferred)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR-C Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in CPAP/sleep therapy (preferred)
  • Previous homecare and sales experience an asset
  • Knowledge of CPAP and sleep therapy products
  • Proficiency with CPAP monitoring platforms (e.g., AirView, CareOrchestrator)
  • Experience with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including direct collaboration with sleep clinics
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel)

EDUCATION

  • Registered Respiratory Therapy Advanced Diploma

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year as a CPAP clinician preferred

Responsibilities
  • Perform respiratory care to screen, assess, and treat patients with respiratory sleep disorders
  • Evaluate patient needs by reviewing data reports and determining therapy plans in consultation with physicians
  • Conduct appointments and set up all necessary respiratory care equipment
  • Educate, train, and assess patients professionally and compassionately
  • Assist clients in achieving their treatment goals through recommendations and adjustments
  • Identify and communicate any discrepancies in treatment plans to physicians
  • Prepare funding documents, maintain up-to-date knowledge of funding systems, and ensure patients and families understand the funding process
  • Support ongoing operations by participating in training and development in other areas of the store
  • Maintain the YourCPAPStore.ca website by assisting clients via chat and phone, fulfilling orders, and updating site content as needed
